What happens when a booking is placed?

When a new booking is placed an email is sent to the website admin (you) and the customer who placed the booking. Depending on the booking status, the booking may or may not be blocked in the availability calendar (see "Booking Statuses" below for more details).

How to add a new booking

In the WordPress dashboard go to "Hotel Booking > Bookings" and click "Add New"

Booking statuses

There are 4 different booking statuses:

  1. Pending: This booking status is not blocked in the availability calendar. A booking is automatically set to pending status if you have the Manually Confirm Bookings option switched on in Hotel Booking > Settings > General, or if a guest placed a booking but did not complete the payment process
  2. Confirmed: This booking status is blocked in the availability calendar
  3. Cancelled: This booking status is not blocked in the availability calendar
  4. iCal: This booking status is blocked in the availability calendar, all bookings imported via iCal are given this status, you cannot manually select this booking status
